Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the best rental:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Stay In Style/Cozy Oceanview Suite! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you book the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Advice for a great stay:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review.
