Strategies to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- To get the largest vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Finding the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select vacation dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Stunning Double Queen Suite With LED Fireplace! Caravelle 610 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, email the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or could be applied to your agreement.
During your stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of concerns.
- Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
