Our top Myrtle Beach vacation rental home tips:
When to book & When to go:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, change your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby tours and attractions.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Stylish Escape Oceanview Suite @ Meridian Plaza! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your family.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
Tips for your stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. E-mail the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect your property!
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
