Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the most suitable vacation home within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. B512 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Sunny Seaside Sanctuary has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. text the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
