Strategies to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Oceanfront Paradise! Luxuriously Furnished Suite has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before you reserve the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. message the rental manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to propel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
