Vacation rental booking tips:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on local shops and restaurants.

Choosing and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Fully Renovated, Large Condo, Walk to Beach, in the Heart of Myrtle! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your agreement.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

During your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
