Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Filter your rental search:
- To start, have your family select vacation dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Unforgettable vacation in the center of MB! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.

- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More considerations for your visit:

- Upon check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback.
