How to find the best vacation property experience:
Get the most from your rental home budget:
- Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have coupons for local accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by having your group agree to trip dates and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Updated Ocean View Studio- Sea Mist 51403 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Does your group require special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- Document any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.

- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Be fair with your review.
