Strategies to get the very best rental home experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, try changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by selecting vacation dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Closest St. James Park Villa to Beach and Pool. 3 Full-Bath Primary Suites has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before booking your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or might be applied to your invoice.
During your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
