Tips to get the optimal rental experience:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Narrow your Search:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Closest St. James Park Villa to Beach and Pool. 3 Full-Bath Master Suites has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before you book your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is best for your trip.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
Know before you go:
- Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the host right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
