How to get the best vacation home experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Make a plan and choose the rightrental home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Golf course condo with splendid views close to baseball, softball, soccer, CCU has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you love, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Tips to have a smooth stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- At Check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
