Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Filter your rental search:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Well Kept Family Owned Myrtle Beach Vacation Condo steps from the Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property management company before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
Advice for your stay:
- Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- Document any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
