How to find the best vacation rental experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to pick the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select vacation week and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Pools & Recently Renovated 16th Floor Views! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the host before booking the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or applied to your agreement.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
During your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a great time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
