Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- To find the largest rental home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose your vacation dates and max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Cozy OF 3 Bedroom Condo 11th Floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what is best for your vacation.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More tips for your visit:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many difficulties.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
