Our top Myrtle Beach rental home tips:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • First, have your family decide on dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. New Oceanfront Indoor Heated Pools, Low Floor,Nice has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property management company before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the rental manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to propel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
