Our top Rental property booking tips and tricks:
Finding your best deal:
- The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Selecting and booking a perfectrental:
- Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. High Floor,Amazing Views,Camelot By The Sea,Pools! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property manager before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your family.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
Have a great stay:
- Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few problems.
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
