Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • First, have your family commit to a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Low Floor, Direct Ocean View, The Pavilion,Central has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you love, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.

Tips to have a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Document any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
