How to find the best vacation rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and choose a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 11th-Floor, Oceanfront, Snowbird-Friendly Studio w/WiFi, AC, Shared Pool/Hot Tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. Otherwise, contact the host before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking

More considerations:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
