How to get the best rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.

How to choose and book the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. 9th-floor ocean-view studio with gym, pool, hot tub & AC - snowbird-friendly has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you book the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or may be applied to your agreement.
  • Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Advice for your stay:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
