Strategies to get the perfect rental experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
- Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the perfect rental:
- Select your dates and max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. 12th-floor ocean-view studio with pool, hot tub, WiFi & AC - snowbird-friendly has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Know before you go:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
