Our top Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to choose the best rental:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. 1br Deluxe Condo on Shores of Myrtle Beach! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
Advice for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the host right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great time? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
