Tricks and tips to get the optimal vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- First and foremost, have your family select dates and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. 2 Bedroom Condo at Bovardia Place in the heart of Myrtlewood has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you crave, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Tips for your stay:
- Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your visit, note any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be respectful. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
