Our top Vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

How to get the best rental value:

  • To get the largest rental home within budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to choose the best rental home:

  • Start by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. 2 King Beds, WiFi, Custom Golf Cart, Clean and Affordable has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. Otherwise, call the host before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.

Know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to propel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
