How to find the best rental home experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Book your rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose and book your prefectrental:
- Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. 2nd Floor Spacious Ocean View Junior Suite has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you book the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
Know before you go:
- Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
