How to get the best rental home experience:
Get the best rental value:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to choose and book your prefectvacation home:
- Choose dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. 2nd Floor Three Bedroom Angle Ocean View Condo has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
