How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the most suitable rental home within your budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. 3story beachside downtown skywheel house\/hot tub\/arcade\/PETS has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property owner before booking the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
More tips for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of concerns.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
