Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guides contain coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.
Choosing and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental:
- To start, have your group choose date ranges and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. 3story beachside downtown skywheel house\/hot tub\/arcade\/PETS has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
Considerations for your stay:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your visit, record any problem areas when you arrive. text the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
