Strategies to get the perfect rental experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the best rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Narrow your Search:
- First, have your family commit to trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. 4th Floor Oceanfront Room Serenity & Ocean View has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your life at home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
