Myrtle Beach rental booking tips and tricks:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To find the best value, shift your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself.
