Q: 'Can I Check-In Early?'
A: MAYBE – Our cleaners offer a very limited number of priority check-ins each day that would allow guests to arrive at 1PM. The cost is $50, and they must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. They are available on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to add this to your booking, please message us and we will provide additional instructions.

Q: 'Can I Check-Out Late?'
A: NO – Sorry, but due to the cleaning schedule, departure times cannot be changed.

Q: 'Are bath towels and sheets included?'
A: YES – We provide sheets for the beds listed and also 1 bath towel and wash cloth per the occupancy of the property you rented. We do not allow bath towels to be taken to the beach, so please make arrangements for beach/pool towels.

Q: Is parking supplied?'
A: NO, parking/pool fee of $20 for up to 7 nights or $30 for over 7 nights must be paid at the on-site rental office.

Q: 'Do I have to clean/make the beds/do the laundry?'
A: NO - You are on vacation! However, we do ask that you treat the property with care, so it stays nice for others & follow a few guidelines before you leave: Please empty the refrigerator, bag up your trash & take out any excess that won’t fit in the cans and wash your dishes or load/run the dishwasher (if equipped) before you leave. We do not expect you to clean or do laundry before you check out, but we do ask that you tidy up after yourself with those few items that are not supplied in the cleaning fee.

Q: 'Do you allow family pets?'
A: NO, sorry - Family Animals are not allowed at this resort per our HOA bylaws. However, we do currently rent 5 properties where we can accept modest dogs. Contact us for more details.

Q: 'Can I smoke in the unit or on the balcony?'
A: NO, sorry – SMOKING OF ANY KIND IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in this unit and on the balcony - no exceptions. It is very costly to have a service remove smoking odors - especially in the short time between guests. If we need to have the unit treated because of the smell of smoke or if we find that you have tampered with the smoke detectors to hide that smoking has occurred, it will result in a minimum $250 charge. Please be sure to read the entire rental agreement and home rules for more information about smoking.

Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Planning, picking, and booking yourrental:

  • To start, have your family agree to the best dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. A Place At The Beach 5 unit 206 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the host right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
