How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain discounts for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Filter your search:
- Start by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Amazing waterfront views!, AAA Four Diamond Resort, by Luxury Beach Rentals has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you book the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
More tips for your visit:
- Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- At Check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
- Be respectful. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you're away. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
