Getting the best rental home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the largest vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Selecting the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a group leader, select your dates, and select a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Awesome condo at Magnolia Place Myrtle Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Advice for a great stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- During arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
