Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the most suitable rental home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. \"A Wave'n Grace\" Gorgeous Oceanfront Condo w/Panoramic Balcony Views has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Tips for a wonderful stay:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
