Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to pick the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Start by having your group agree to the best dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. \"A Wave'n Grace\" Gorgeous Oceanfront Condo w\/Panoramic Balcony Views has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If not, call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.

More considerations for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Call the property manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
