Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose the best vacation home:
- To start, have your group decide on dates and a budget.
- Amazing Vista & King Bed has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually available online. If they are not listed, call the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is optimal for your group.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
During your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
