- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have offers and deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Selecting and booking your prefectrental:
- To start, have your group select vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beautiful Oceanfront 3 bedroom condo in Surfside Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if there is a dispute.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
