While we do our absolute best to ensure that all of our condos are cleaned, prepared, and comfortable for all of our guests, we do want to note that this resort is over 60 years old. Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to choose and book the right Myrtle Beach rental:
- First and foremost, have your family decide on vacation dates and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Beautiful Ocean Front Double Queen Suite with Full Kitchen, Sea Mist Resort 20705 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
Additional considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
