Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- Book your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the perfect rental:
- Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Enjoy our Suite with a Great Ocean Front View has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your group.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
Know before you go:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. message the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few issues.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
