How to find the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your vacation in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Finding the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Choose your dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Beautiful Oceanfront B4 (5br\/3ba) in Oceanlakes has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is best for your group.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Put the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Call the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
