Our top Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to choose and book yourvacation home:

  • Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Beautiful Oceanfront Beachfront condo, close to everything, has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
