Rental property booking tips:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best vacation rental:

  • Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Beautiful Oceanfront Studio with LED Fireplace- Caravelle 712 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available online. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

More tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Contact the rental manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
