Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and pick the perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Beautiful Studio Condo in Ocean Creek Resort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what is right for your family.
- If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Tips to have a smooth stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Call the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
