Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local shops and restaurants.

Choosing and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Start by having your family select a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Brand New Reno! OF, End Unit, King bed, Quartz Counters, Shaker Cabinets has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible online. If not, reach out to the property manager before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is right for your vacation.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • During check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
