Vacation rental booking tips:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select dates and maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Carolina Grande Resort - 3BR Suite w\/ Balcony has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your trip.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Advice for a smooth stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, note any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a great vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
