How to find the best rental experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Book your vacation home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Close to the beach #1 Lovely 2 bedrooms condo! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, email the host before booking the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your group.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your agreement.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
Know before you go:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a great time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
