Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, selecting, and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental:

  • Select vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Coastal Escape: 2BR King Suite @ Wyndham Seawatch has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More considerations for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
