Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental within budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Compass Cove Mariner Tower 624 - 3 Bed/2 Bath Ocean Front Condo - Pools, Lazy River, Hot Tub has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is best for your family.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your contract.

During your stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Document any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a great time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
