Tips to get the best vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Choosing and booking yourrental:

  • Begin by selecting your trip dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Cozy river view penthouse for 2 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you love, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • During check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
