Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the best rental home for your budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.
Planning, selecting, and booking the perfectvacation home:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Stylish 1BR Condo w/ Pools, Hot tubs, & Gym Access has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you love, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
