Tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by having your family decide on the best dates and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Deluxe 1 bdrm, sleeps 8, pools, lazy river, hot tubs, tiki bar, ocean front view has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property manager before booking the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is right for your vacation group.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you love, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
Tips for your stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
