Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to select the perfect rental home:

  • Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Dolphin Cove: 2 BR Oceanfront Condo with Pool has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is right for your family.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. text the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
