Tips to get the very best vacation home experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and picking the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • First, have your group commit to a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • RP1906 has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the property manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
