Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and choosing yourrental:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Extravagance Oceanfront Deluxe Room 1st Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what bed configuration is right for your group.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or applied to your invoice.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to drive more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
